2013/2017 F-CLASS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS and RIFLE RAFFLE
Every four years the World F-Class Championships are held somewhere in the fullbore world. In 2009 Bisley hosted this event. In 2013 Raton, New Mexico will be the venue for the World Championships and in 2017 the Worlds will be shot at the Connaught Ranges outside of Ottawa. It would be cool if New Brunswick could send a shooter to be a member of the Canadian Team for 2017 (maybe too late for 2013 ?).
The National F-Class Team is raising money for the trip to Raton by selling raffle tickets on a custom built rifle. Here is a link to a poster describing the rifle etc.
Matt Wolf, who is on the DCRA F-Class Committee, has 7-8 tickets left. Only 500 tickets will be sold and they are $20 each. You can contact Matt at greenscove@gmail.com
For those of you interested in looking into shooting at the 2017 World Championships you can begin by following the World Championship Thread on Gunnutz
Also look into the DCRA Website found here.

MINI PALMA 2012 - RESULTS
This year the mini Palma was held in Nashua, New Hampshire On September 15, 2012. It is a custom that the Mini Palma rotates between an Atlantic Provinces and a New England venue annually - so next year it will be in Canada again.
Based on the pictures see here more pictures of the event, (thanks Jim Hahn) , and the reports, a very good time was had this year by all participants. Our American colleagues put on a terrific event and hosted a wonderful dinner as well.
Here are the results (part of this was borrowed from Jim Hahn who did a similar write up). Jim says that it rained for a while prior to beginning the match and then it turned sunny for the entire event. Light winds increased to fishtailing strong winds during the second match and became light again for match three. Although the Maritime Provinces shooters began the match with a good lead, by the end of the match three, New England shooters had won.
New England scored 5908.267 and the Maritime Provinces 5875.248
Many thanks to John Marshall for his able organization and captaincy before and during this event. Congratulations to Ray Smeltzer who had the High Individual Score.

DCRA - 2012: F-CLASS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - RESULTS
As many of you probably already know, our own Dan Chisholm has been very busy this year working on changes to the DCRA National Championships shot at the Connaught Ranges in Ottawa. This year, for the first time, an F-CLASS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP was shot from August 16 to August 18, 2012 and shot separately (mostly - there is still a little overlap) from TR competition. This format seems to have worked well with stiff competition from shooters around the country. The future for F-Class in Canada looks good with this development. Congratulations to Dan and many thanks for his excellent work.
For calculating the Grand Agregate, there were 16 F-Open and 25 F-F (FTR/MTR) competitors. Although no Maritimers were entered in the F-Open competitions, four shooters from the Maritime Provinces were among the F-F competitors. Matt Wolf(NB) placed 5th with a Grand Aggregate score of 542.27; Andrew Webber(NS) placed 15th with 520.29; Wendy Reid(NS) placed 16th with 516.23 and Francis Bezeau(NB) placed 22nd with 486.13
Congratulations to each of the shooters and our best wishes for future successes.
