  1. 2017 Minutes Approved as circulated - Chuck Bachmanek moved, Bill Giles seconded
  2. Reports 2018 Mini-Palma Discussed error in dates between Canadian and American team.
Managed to get 7 team members with one person shooting twice for 8 scores. Dan Chisholm
provided an overview of the Mini-Palma. Canadians did not have sufficient TR shooters.
Both teams agreed to accept F-class shooters, firing on F-class targets, as equivalent to TR.
Good to remember for the future if this should arise again.
3. PEI Sporter Class - Dave Hanson:
• Used Ontario rules which DCRA has
• Factory barrel and stock, can be bedded
• Any rest
• Shoot on TR target
• No restriction on bullets, any calibre
      4.    2019 Schedule
  1. Inter-Maritime and British Team - June 15 & 16 Nova Scotia to host, Gord Holloway has trophies.
NS to arrange with Gord to make sure the trophies are in NS for the matches
b. NS APM - June 21-23 Bull Meadows (moved from traditional date of third weekend of July due
to number of NS shooters planning to travel to Bisley in July 2019)
c. Eastern F-Class - June 28-June 30 Batoche NB APM - July 20-21 PEI APM - July 27-28

d. Ottawa Nationals: F-class August 14-16, TR August 16-24

e. Atlantics Aug 31-Sept 2: PEI to host, to be combined with Mini-PALMA (see below for further info)

5.   Mini-Palma:
• Each association contributes $150 - $450 in total
• It was noted there can be costs associated with hosting the mini-Palma
• Possibility of co-hosting Atlantics and Mini-Palma was discussed.
Decided to hold Atlantics Saturday/ Sunday (full-day both days rather than starting at noon on
Saturday as in some years). Mini-Palma on Monday. This will allow American shooters to shoot
Atlantics if they wish.
The Canadian team is decided based on how shooters score at Atlantics. Since the Mini-Palma will
be the day after Atlantics, it was suggested any individuals who doesn't make Mini-Palma team shoot
on separate targets and be scored as individual shooters. The group discussed and agreed that the
Mini-Palma requires four targets - 2 for each team. One or more additional e-targets could easily be
set up to permit individual shooters. This way, everyone can shoot all 3 days. As host province, PEI
will decide whether to award prizes, outside of the Mini-Palma prizes, for the highest scoring individual
shooters.
• Not practical to do gift exchange with the American team because we won't know who is on the team
until the night before.
• Mini-PALMA team captain - John Marshall: Barry Langille nominated, Paul Bastarache seconded

6. Appointment of DCRA Team Captain - Ottawa
• Captain of provincial match and London Merchant match
• Traditionally an 8-shooter match
• Past couple of years it was a 4-shooter match
• There was some discussion of how difficult it has been to put together a team. Whether to enter a
team was also discussed.
• Decision - not appointing team captain at this time. If shooters in Ottawa at Nationals want to have a
team, they can do so at that time.

7.   Old Business Costs of hosting Inter-Maritime match
• Item deferred from 2017 meeting
• Decision to leave as is. Hosting province bears costs.

8.   2017 motion re viewing other competitor's plotting screen to be considered cheating
• No plotting feature on current e-target system so this is no longer an issue

9.   E-targets - what should happen when a shot doesn't register
• Currently, the practice varies on an individual match basis.
• Discussed whether we should have a Maritime-wide rule.
• Decided not have a standard rule at this time.

10.   Trophies
• Inter-Maritime - think Gordon Holloway has, Adam/ Evangeline to confirm
• Evangeline (NS) has Atlantics
• Mini-Palma - Americans have and will bring to 2019 match
• Inter-Maritime and British Team Match, Atlantics trophies all to be passed along at APM, already
engraved
All Provinces should take note of this and bring any trophies in their possession to the 2019
Highpower meeting.

11. New Business - None

        12.   Adjournment - Moved by Chuck Bachmanek
