THE GAUTREAU 600 - ST GABRIEL RANGE - RESULTS

The Gautreau 600 - with match director J.C. Gautreau was a roaring success. Thanks J.C. and Paul for hosting this shoot and doing the work of RO as well. Thanks to Adam for his work in setting up the e-target markers.
The Match was shot last Saturday on the lovely St. Gabriel Range just south of Rexton, New Brunswick, during some of the best conditions we have had this year.

In the morning, while we were driving across the province, the morning was quite nice, cool, sunny, with temperatures steadily climbing to the 26C to 28C promised for the day. That was important because the truck is a basic thing with no AC - (on the way back we did get a little hot though). After only one wrong turn, we arrived at the range (we weren't the last ones there!!!) and were greeted by 9 other shooters eager to get started.
Conditions stayed really good during all the three relays shot that day. The sun stayed out so the light was quite bright and the temps were hot. Winds were light both down range and from left to right but did switch a little. Not too much mirage straight up - but some.
Several of us used this opportunity to refine the loads we had or to find that "best load" prior to the APM. Some of us had good success with that - "Oh what a relief to finally hit what you're aiming at" and feel competitive once again. The worries about guns and shooting ability disappear when the results are good. Let's hope they stay that way!

Because the activities at Batouch on July 11 and 12 had to be cancelled, we decided to do it all over again next Saturday when we will shoot 2+15 at 6/6/600m during the "Bastarache 600 Bash" - come, have some fun and use this last chance to work on your loads.

  1. Adam, were you able to successfully use the scoring tool to tally the results for each division?
Just curious if it offered any benefit for the APM.

    Thanks
