2012 at the Alexandra Range (see www.peira.ca for a map)

RESULTS
First of all thanks to Ian Hogg, Dale MacLeod and Bob Barwise for their work in hosting a very enjoyable APM at the beautiful Alexandra Range. They even arranged for no rain at all and moderate, though tricky, winds. Also thanks to all the people behind the scenes without whose work we would not be able to shoot! And to Julie Carver for a great job as RO - everything at the firing points worked so well with her in charge!!
There were 15 shooters in attendance over the 2 days of the APM. Of these, 6 were from PEI, 6 from New Brunswick and 3 from Nova Scotia. All had a lot of fun and posted some pretty good scores to boot. As indicated in the program, there were 11 individual matches. The results below are reported for the distances shot and the four different aggregates followed by the individual match results. At 300yds 30 rounds were shot on score; at 500yds 40 rounds; and at 600yds 55 rounds for a total of 125 rounds on score. F-class score is  6 for a V-bull and 5 for a bull.

Congratulations to Maritime Shooters at Bisley

I'm sure I speak on behalf of all the full-bore shooters, and others in New Brunswick, in heartely congratulating Wendy Reid (NS) for her outstanding performance at the F Class competitions held at the Bisley Ranges in the UK. Wendy won the Grand Aggregate with 774.49V.
She was one of four Maritime F Class shooters who did extremely well.
Ken Ferguson (NS) placed 3rd with a Grand Aggregate of 771.39V while Andy Webber(NS) placed 6th with 760.36V
The fourth maritime shooter was Bob Kierstead (NB) from the Fredericton area who placed 11th with an aggregate of 718.29V  I remember at one of our Springfield practices, how pleased Bob was with his rifle which had just been repaired  and finally shot a week or so before leaving for Bisley. He may have fired a few dozen rounds through it and then felt ready enough to go to a world F-class match. That folks, is mental preparation at it's finest (and also just plain courage)!!!
Not to be outdone, in Target Rifle (TR class),  Ray Smeltzer (NS) shot a 688.78V which placed him 72nd among 825 shooters in the Grand Aggregate! John Marshall (NS) shot 608.50V and Jeff Jenkins (NS) a 541.40V
Congratulations to all and our best wishes for future successes.
