AGENDA: HOSTING THE 2018 EASTERN F-CLASS CHAMPIONSHIPS IN NEW BRUNSWICK

BACKGROUND: The Eastern F-Class Championships, for the last 4 years, have been held at the Connaught Ranges in Ottawa. They have been organised by Barry Price and Scott Bissett who have let it be known that they will not be organizing them next year. If no other organization takes responsibility for hosting the Championships in 2018, they will likely not be held. We, (ie., the Fullbore Section of the RNBRA),  have been asked to host them and this Executive Meeting will determine if this is feasible for us.
After much discussion, it was moved by Gordon Holloway and seconded by Adam MacDonald that the Fullbore Section hosts the 2018 Eastern F-Class Championships. This was carried unanimously providing that Batouche Range is guaranteed to be available.

Gordon Holloway will contact Barry Price and Scott Bissett to let them know of our willingness to host it depending on Base Booking.

JULY 16, 2017 - FULLBORE APM - AWARDS CEREMONY

After the shooting was completed and the results were verified by the shooters we held the Awards Ceremony. The RNBRA Fullbore section was very pleased to have The Honourable Jocelyne Roy Vienneau, Lt. Governor of New Brunswick make the presentations for the Governor General's Medals for marksmanship and also for the Prince of Wales Trophy which is the oldest trophy (for any event) in continuous use in Canada. It is presently on
display in Government House in Fredericton

Prior to the presentations, her honour and her husband were given a demonstration of Long-range Fullbore Shooting. They were able to follow the shots on the electronic target marking system one of which was donated by Silver Mountain Targets for this match. After this demonstration, Her Honour gave a speech about the Prince of Wales' visit to Canada and New Brunswick in 1860 at which time he gave the trophy to the provincial shooting organization which later became the Royal New Brunswick Rifle Association
