Important Schedule Change !! Correction !!

The Nova Scotia Annual Prize Match which our schedule incorrectly says is on July 20-22, is actually going to be held on August 9-11 at the Bullmeadow Range in Beaverbank.

The Nova Scotia Rifle Assn. is at :   www3.ns.sympatico.ca/nsrifle/

  1. Why was the schedule changed?
Why did we not hear of this change?
This is pretty important - I for one had made plans to go to NS for this match this weekend and could have incurred a lot of unnecessary expense not to mention the time lost.

  2. Bert:

As John is still in Bisley, I'll do my best to explain the course of events:
It was realized at a late date that because of the large NS contingent shooting at Bisley, there would not be sufficient numbers of shooters and organizers to run a successful Prize Meet on the initial dates. The dates were therefore changed to August 9th, 10th and 11th. and the change was intended to be advised to the Members by email as well as changed on the NSRA website. Although the website was changed back in May, it would appear that through an oversight, the General Distribution to Members did not go out. If it had, Michelle Cormier would have been copied. It obviously did not occur to us to message New Brunswick and PEI officially about the change, (although it was discussed with some at the Inter-Maritime on the Island).

Al I can do is apologize for this unfortunate mistake and assure you that efforts will be made to improve communication between the provinces. I certainly hope that you can attend for the new dates, as we really appreciate having you here.

    Best regards,

    Andy
