Shooters Wanted for Mini Palma match in September

Interested in Team shooting?  Make arrangements now for a great shooting opportunity this fall!  The Maritimes Team needs TR and F-TR shooters for this fall's match.

Every year there is an annual Mini Palma Friendship Match fired between the New England States and the Maritime Provinces.  It rotates between a US and Canadian location, this year it will be fired 15-Sep-2012 at Nashua, New Hampshire.

Each team consists of ten shooters; it was originally a TR-only match but F-Class is now part of the team.  Each team has seven TR shooters and three F-TR shooters.  The Canadian Team is selected based on individual shooter performance during the Atlantic Championship Match on Labour Day weekend, which this year is 1-2-3- Sept at Batouche range - so please plan on shooting the Atlantics.

Travel to the USA with a rifle requires a BATF form.  They're quite easy to get and there is no fee, but they do take 6-8 weeks to get.  This means that a shooter needs to apply for his permit *BEFORE* the Atlantic Championships are fired and the team selection is made.  *NOW* is a good time to apply.

I would encourage every shooter who thinks they MIGHT want to shoot this match, to apply now for the BATF permit.  One of the things you will need is an official invitation to the match.  Have a look at the invitation form and match info, then please contact me, give me your mailing address, and I will arrange for an official invitation (with your name on it) to be given to you, and then you can apply for the permit.

UPDATE 3-July: Here's a link to the BATF Form 6NIA (.pdf) that you need to fill out.
